Country Club Estates Neighborhood Profile

Country Club Estates is the neighborhood often referred to as the Elks Club area by locals–this is because that is the main through street that divides the neighborhood and connects it from Pioneer Trail to Highway 50. Despite the name, the neighborhood doesn’t have a country club or an HOA but got its name because many of the streets are named after well know golf courses.
This area is filled with the beautiful pine trees and offers easy access to some great hiking/mountain biking trails. At the bottom of Elks Club is the Upper Truckee river which is a local favorite for floating down during the early summer months and for taking walks along the river side
Country Club Estates is in the county area somewhat in between Meyers and in town at the Y which has a lot of shopping, restaurants, and local amenities. Stateline is only about a 16 minute drive which provides a great nightlife atmosphere with casinos, dining, and nightclubs. Country Club Estates is also in the middle between two of Tahoe’s ski resorts – Heavenly Ski Resort is about 14 minutes east and Sierra at Tahoe is about 20 minutes west. The neighborhood is also across from the Lake Tahoe Golf Course which is one of the best golf courses in Tahoe during the summer and offers snowmobiling in the winter. At the bottom of Elks Club they host the famous local flea market during the weekends in the summer where you can find lots of unique items.
The Country Club Estates neighborhood is a great place to experience the best of Tahoe. Many of the homes in this area are on sloped lots giving great views of the Crystal Mountain Range (Mt. Tallac’s a part of that) and many other homes are across from National Forest & Conservancy Land so you get to look out at the majestic pines. Country Club Estates is an awesome place to be if you want to be close to all that Tahoe has to offer.
