Heavenly Valley Neighborhood Profile

Heavenly Valley neighborhood is situated just below Heavenly Valley Ski Resort, it is surrounded by the beautiful pines and in various parts you are able to see striking views of Lake Tahoe. A neighborhood filled with cabins, vacation rentals, and condos – this part of South Lake is close to everything! Homeowners and vacationers love that the Heavenly Tram and Base Lodge are right there–some of the condo associations are directly across from the California base lodge with views of the runs.

Need to rent equipment? A majority of ski & snowboard rental places are located nearby on Ski Run Blvd. During the winter this neighborhood is not only next door to one of the best ski resorts in Tahoe, but it also has Hansens Resort Snow Tubing and Saucer Hill (530.544.3361) for those who want to play in the snow but maybe not go skiing or snowboarding. Heavenly’s Gondola that is located at the Marriott with lots of shops around is also within driving distance, or catch the Ski Shuttle which is provided by Heavenly and BlueGo (the local Tahoe bus system) to get you between both parts of Heavenly.

This neighborhood is also a great place to be during the summer with lots of activities. Head up Ski Run Boulevard and you can ride the Heavenly tram, or take off into the woods for some hiking. Head down Ski Run Boulevard and you’ll come to the Ski Run Marina – filled with shops, eateries such as Riva Grill which is famous for their Wet Woody drink, and the marina which has jet ski rentals, boat rentals, fishing charters, paddle boat rentals, parasailing and The Tahoe Queen. If you want to experience Tahoe’s nightlife, just hop aboard the BlueGo transportation and within 5-7 minutes you’re at Stateline with all the casinos and nightclubs. Or if you want to stay right in your neighborhood, at the bottom of Ski Run are plenty of great hangouts and bars.

Heavenly Valley Neighborhood is a perfect place for anyone. With all kinds of amenities in close range, what doesn’t this neighborhood have to offer? Some suggestions of places to check out next time you are in the area:

Nepheles – Intimate dining with an award winning wine list, they also have hot spas to relax in if you care to do that and enjoy with a beverage service instead.
Cafe Fiore – Delicious Italian and one of the best dining experiences in Tahoe and an extensive wine list. Reservations are recommended!
Red Hut Cafe – Awesome breakfast, lunch, dinner and a vintage-esque soda fountain
Riva Grill – Enjoy lakeview dining and a fun atmosphere
The Brewery at Lake Tahoe – Lake Tahoe’s original brewpub with specialty ales and great food
Mo’s Place – 12 Hi Def flat screens to watch the games, pool tables, food and drink
